The Calm Before the Storm

We are only hours away from the Banner Eighth Graders boarding the plane, for their version of the annual class trip.  Thirteen eighth graders, Mrs. Ballenger, and I(Mr. Gerken) will be departing early tomorrow morning for Las Vegas.  This group has chosen to travel to the southwest, focusing their exploration on the Grand Canyon.   The students are very excited.  They have an action packed itinerary, filled with scenic hikes in a number of our country's most well known national parks, river rafting down the Colorado River, and so much more.  See tomorrow's itinerary below. 

 Tuesday - Apr 8th

-7:10 AM - 9:59 AM Flight from Baltimore,

MD to Salt Lake City, UT

-11:01 AM - 11:26 AM Flight from Salt Lake

City, UT to Las Vegas, NV

-Meet Grand Classroom guide at baggage claim

-Depart for Red Rock

-Red Rock National Conservation Area

-Box Lunch

-Valley of Fire State Park (time permitting)

-Dinner en route
